Mystery Reader!26-01-2017 | 15:19:11 | 16 Comments

This afternoon, 4KB were lucky enough to have another mystery reader! Olivia’s mum came in and read us the story ‘Chickens can’t see in the dark’ by Kristyna Litten. It opened up a great debate about the pros and cons of eating our vegetables! Thank you very much, we really enjoyed our visit šŸ™‚

Writer of the Week20-01-2017 | 09:30:10 | 13 Comments

4KB’s Writer of the Week isĀ Maisie Prince!

Maisie wrote a superb letter to her parents describing the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii AD 79. Her letter was full of drama and she used all the key features of a letter beautifully. Well done Maisie, you should feel very proud.

Morning Moon Rocks!!20-01-2017 | 09:24:18 | 4 Comments

This morning 4KB had a surprise visit from Mr Lindblad, who brought with him some real moon rocks!! We got to handle some of the rock fragments and even fragments of the Murchison Meteorite whichĀ are approximately 4.6 billion years old. We learned about the lunar landings and how people are still researching and learning about the moon and space. It was an amazing experience, thank you Mr Lindblad.

Performer of the Week!06-01-2017 | 16:43:47 | 1 Comment

Well done to Oliver Mountford in 4KB who was this week’s Performer of the Week. As part of our new topic, ‘The Romans’ we all used our clearest voices and dramatic flair to present the Jon Bratton poem, ‘What the Romans did for us’. All the children worked really hard to match their actions and project their voices but Oliver exuded confidence and really made us smile with his compelling performance. Well done Oliver, a super start to our topic!
